Today Rachel
Madorsky shares some insights with us:
1. Can you tell
readers a bit about your background and how you became a writer?
The first half
of my working life I taught engineering courses to senior-level students
in the college. I have written a lot in my professional career. However,
my first book was written under the influence of medical doctors and
clients asking to share my experiences, observations, and tips. Now I am
the author of several books, including “Symphony of Your Karma,”“Create
Your Own Destiny,” and others as well.
2. What are you doing now in the field?
I began writing another
book after I finished my new book “Maestro,” which will be in the print
in 2011. Also, I continue to write articles for several websites.
3. What is the best
advice you can give to other writers?
Please, write, if you
have the desire, and follow your own instincts in sharing your
expertise, observations, and passion, despite all the obstacles in your
life. Also, be involved in writing and critique groups. And, last and
most important, try to find a good editor before you will submit your
project to the publisher, and never be discouraged in times of hardship.
4. What does your workspace look like?
My workplace is one of
the coolest rooms in my house where I spend time in front of the
computer screen with my lovely dog next to my chair. However, new ideas
come and are really written in my mind while I’m walking my dog in the
park.
5. Can you share a special moment from your writing career?
A long time ago I
decided to take a break from writing and, maybe, discontinue it. At that
time I chose a book to read. There was nothing special about that book.
However, this book encouraged me to prolong my writing. The book was
about friendship between an agent and his friend, a future famous
author. Years later I picked-up from the bookshelf in a library my own
book. Each page had marks next to the important message in my book. It
was an amazing moment in my life – I realized that I have to continue
sharing my ideas and life experiences for people searching for answers.

Shared
in the
Symphony
of
Your
Karma
Q.: Tell us about your other books that focus on Karma.
A.: Pursuant to the experiences I have had
with clients, I have written several books, each one touching on the
subjects of Karma and Destiny and how these things can help people in
their fight against diseases and illness.
The most popular of my books is Create Your Own Destiny,
published in 2003, and my latest is Symphony of Your Karma.
Q.:
Why are
you so interested in this subject?
When I consciously realized that we do, indeed, sow what we reap in
life, it occurred to me that things like Karma and Destiny impact our
lives in a great way. I'm sure that most human beings have had the
experience of "what goes around comes around," in their lifetime, and
this is one of the motivations we have to mature and grow to be a wiser
person who is conscious of how their actions affect their future and the
future of those around them.
Q.:
Is
Karma and Reincarnation something your family believed in and helped you
to understand?
Actually, no. While my family and parents often told me life stories
that were vividly scary, Karma and Fate were not discussed in my family.
These are things that I had to realize and acknowledge for myself and
now want to help others realize.
Q.:
Your
latest title is Symphony of Your Karma, which will be published
in the fall by Avanty House. What does this book feature?
A.:
In
Symphony, my readers will be gradually immersed into a series of
life-altering stories. Instead of becoming only passive witnesses to
these life-stories, the readers will be inspired by them to become
active participants on their own fascinating journeys of
self-realization. The book empowers my readers to uncover the connection
between the spiritual and physical worlds, thereby revealing the path
toward self-healing.
Q.:
How did
you meet the people in the book?
A.:
The
heroes of Symphony of Your Karma who so graciously shared their
life stories with me, and now my readers, are real people who crossed my
path while they were desperately seeking some sort of powerful
assistance and self-education to overcome obstacles in their lives and,
subsequently, to be able to continue their mission on the Earth.
Q.:
What is
Karma?
Karma is, put simply, the law of human
actions. Karma can be viewed as a spiritual and material
cause-and-effect cycle that leads the human soul through one or more
incarnation.
Q.:
Do you
believe our souls evolve after life lessons?
A.: The existence of reincarnation has
to be accepted, just as our ancestors accepted it. In spite of attempts
of several sects of religions and other groups, the knowledge of
reincarnation has never been fully erased from human culture or memory
around the world. Without acceptance or acknowledgement of
reincarnation, we are denying the truth of our ancestral heritage and,
therefore, cannot expect to fully enhance our modern-day lives until we
relent to this truth. In my own case, for instance, I felt the existence
of my previous self, but tried desperately to hide these feelings since
my childhood because those around me would not understand or acknowledge
it. I do believe our souls evolve. Without this belief, we will never
truly make efforts to change for the betterment of ourselves.
Q.:
What
happens if we do not love or advance our knowledge?
A.: If we do not love and advance our knowledge, we will continue
to try and blame everyone around us for our own mistakes or misfortunes
and keep our personal affections only for ourselves. From the moment of
our lives, we learn to love our parents, siblings, and so on; but if we
do not love and seek out knowledge, we will eventually blame these
people for our obstacles and disappointments, in spite of the fact that
we can often correct these issues from within our own selves. Just as we
first love our families when we come into the world and eventually grow
sour against them, we oftentimes do the same for knowledge, which we
start off loving and then begin denying. Coming into the world, growing
up, and dying is a learning process, and we must use it to accumulate
knowledge for the next incarnation.
Q.:
Do you
think we can change our Karmic destiny?
A.:
In
order for a person to achieve certain goals in his life, he/she needs
only to understand the purpose of his/her existence and the meaning of
his/her current incarnation and accept his/her mission.
We need to remember that the universe is not static. Because of
this fact, we have ongoing opportunities to exercise our free will and
we can fulfill our desire to choose an infinite number of ways to
transform our karma.
Q.:
Do you
believe in "The Book of Our Lives?"
A.:
Thousands and thousands of years before our incarnation, people prayed
to be written in "The Book of Our Lives" for good deeds and asked
forgiveness for the bad seeds. I believe that every step of our life
form is reflected in the "Book of Destiny."
Q.:
What
are the greatest gifts in our lives?
A.:
Free
will is humankind's greatest gift from the Creator and is essential to
our betterment and improvement in each incarnation. Because we have this
free will, each person is responsible for everything that is happening
to him or her - that is to say, each of us has the ability to create our
own Karma.
Q.:
How
long have you been practicing healing?
A.:
I have
been practicing this for many years, realizing from the first second
that it was my weighty gift and mission on Earth to assist people in
helping them discover their own inner directions.
Q.:
What
inspired you to write this new book?
A.:
The
inspiration for this book came to me while I was writing its
predecessor, Create Your Own Destiny. Symphony of Your Karma
details the real stories - not only about participants' specific
healings from their problems, but also the details of the whole body,
mind and spirit healing transformation they experienced. Because they
were willing to make life-changing, life-affirming choices and openly
considered the karmic influences in their lives, they were able to
"rewrite" their karmic destiny. Symphony of Your Karma is a
collection of their whole stories.
Q.:
Share
with us a story about karma and how it affected someone's life.
A.:
Very
fascinating stories are enlightened in the Symphony of Your Karma.
Such as in the example of Lana, a woman whose past life in the form of
Helen resulted in a painful death and a shattering betrayal from the man
she trusted to protect her. Lana's story, like many others in my book,
proves the point that discovering one's past lifetimes and the events of
those lifetimes can help to affirm why we feel and act the way we do in
our current life and give us the knowledge to react and change our
direction and overcome the emotional scars and traumas that we have
lived through. I am sure that every one of us has a unique story to tell
about someone who found a power of will to make a right choice in their
own life that changed their future and the direction of their destiny in
an amazing way, and Symphony is a vast collection of these types of triumphant stories.
Q.:
Are you
writing another book on Karma?
A.:
Yes. I
am now authoring a book that will continue to expand the connection
between Destiny and Health from the Karma Point of View.
Q.:
Where
can we get Symphony of Your Karma?
A.:
The
book will be available in local bookstores, as well as online
marketplaces like Amazon.com, Barnes&Nobel.com and on my website
http://www.quasimir.com/index.html site, I'm also available
for book signings, presentations and interview.

Interview:
Rachel Madorsky Speaks
About Destiny & Karma
Q.:
You
were a nurse and had a degree in Electrical Engineering. But it was an
associate of yours who became terminally ill which led you to a turning
point in your life. Is that would started your research in the healing
arts?
Rachel:
In
the reality I’m observing process of healing art since I was a child.
However, the actual informal and science research with collecting data
started with above the mention associate. She supposed to die within
couple of months and everybody of her close one and friends was informed
of that. And the rest in my book “Create Your Own Destiny!”
Q.:
What
message do you bring to patients, physicians and scientists?
Rachel:
As
long as the person is still alive, he always has hope for recovery and
for a change in his destiny. To be granted that chance, it is only
necessary to make a true choice. To beat an illness requires optimism.
My dream and wish is that some amount of that optimism will be
transferred to the reader.
Doctors should pay more attention to the needs of a patient’s soul,
while trying to treat his body. Of course, it’s easier and faster to
write a prescription from the symptoms rather than listen to the
patient. An initial conversation about an illness often is just the
beginning of the fight back to good health.
Scientists have to have an open mind to all angles of realm and
invisible world of Quasimir™ to learn more about hidden power of subtle
energy and pay more attention to folk medicine which exists since the
first man came to the Earth.
Q.:
What
inspired you to write the book "Create Your Own Destiny! Spiritual Path
to Success"?
Rachel:
The
inspiration for writing this book came from a conversation with a
physician with whom I shared my impressions about the healing process in
one of my earliest clients who was afflicted with terminal cancer.
Despite the negative prognosis, the patient felt better and better after
each of our sessions. On the advice of this physician, I began to
compile and to analyze information on each patient I treated. Patients
and students at my seminars frequently encouraged me to write the book
to give them material for independent study.
“Create Your Own Destiny,” based on real data and experience, equally
useful to healthy people as well as to those who are intuitively aware
that they are sick, but are afraid to accept this truth. Even those
whose illness has progressed so far that they no longer believe in any
cure for the affliction can learn something useful. The organic and
functional transformations called diseases, once initiated, may be
stopped or reversed at almost any point. Those seeking the truth about
healing will find advice and recommendations in this book interwoven
into the fabric of the stories about specific cases.
Q.:
Can
you explain the main topics of the book?
Rachel:
The
healing is a whole mind-set with spiritual implications and cosmic
forces. The book explains that our bodies and minds are not two entities
to be treated separately in the healing process but are woven into one.
The body cannot banish a serious disease without first joining forces
with the mind to provide a united front against the invading force. The
path to healing is fiercely guarded and only those with spiritual
maturity may pass. Those who do not change their inner selves cannot
expect to make the journey.
In
the text I have used only factual material about my patients, friends
and acquaintances. Those seeking the truth about healing will find
advice and recommendations in this book interwoven into the fabric of
the stories about specific cases.
Q.:
What
is your belief in terms of Karma?
Rachel:
As
effects of our actions accumulate, they cause certain consequences.
Nature demands balance and tries to maintain it in every possible way.
The laws of nature are unbreakable, although we do not always comprehend
this truth. Nature does not work with things like “punishment” or
“hatred.” It always strives for balance and harmony in everything that
exists in the Universe. In the Hindu language the profoundly powerful
word KARMA is used to identify this “Law of All Laws” − the “Cause and
Effect Law of the Universe.” If we subscribe to the laws of karma we are
open to the possibility that there is no such a thing as a
“coincidence.” In reality, coincidence is a predetermined course of
synchronistic events. Everything that happens to us is a result of our
ancestors’ actions or the actions of our own souls in previous lives.
Though for many people, the essence of karma is simple: "What goes
around comes around." Since ancient times, people have known about these
unbreakable laws of nature and have tried to abide by them.
In
my forthcoming new book I’ve included real life stories, with examples
of how destiny and karma affects one's health, and ways to change
destiny's effect on us or our progeny.
Q.:
What
type of feedback have you received from readers who are ill and seek
your guidance?
Rachel:
Readers
are sharing with me personal stories about winning battle not only for
their own health but people they known well. They carry my books in
their purses as talisman until their full recovery and also sending them
to needs one. Once the book is read the hope is rising despite all
circumstances surrounding a person. It was one of my happiest moments
when I realized the power of my books.
The book, based on real data and experience, is equally useful to
healthy people as well as to those who are intuitively aware that they
are sick, but are afraid to accept this truth. Even those whose illness
has progressed so far that they no longer believe in any cure for the
affliction can learn something useful.
The people buying Create Your Own Destiny! to their family
members and friends believe that the energy and information of the book
will give hope and support to needs one.
Q.:
Can
you tell us something about interpreting dream symbols?
Rachel:
My
personal attitude towards dreams changed many years later, after meeting
a boy of ten or eleven years of age. He was under treatment in the
clinic for infectious diseases for a second time, but with another
problem. His story gave me a basis to consider dreams in a new light.
Historically, individuals who were capable of decoding dreams were
honored in all civilizations and were at the service of pharaohs and
monarchs, oracles and priests, visionaries and researchers. How many
have dealt with our nightly “journeys?” Plato and Socrates, Freud and
Jung, Adler and Fromm, Pavlov and Heidegger, as well as many other world
renowned scientists, have left their mark in this science, with
discussions that never cease, while actual results from dreams, enter
our daily lives.
Dreams can foretell the presence of perfect health, as well as the
generation or the presence of a disease. Dreams that come in the
beginning of sleep usually do not leave a trace in the memory and,
therefore, do not have consequences. But the dreams that come in the
morning have the ability of being registered in our memory and are
mainly actualized.
Q.:
Do
you personally believe in palm reading?
Rachel:
In
ancient times, one could hear, “This is inscribed upon the palm of my
hand.” This saying comes to my mind each time I start a conversation
with a new patient. The art of hand reading, or palmistry, has existed
for millennia in all parts of the world. It is trusted because every
mark on the hands has been verified by the experience of many
generations of readers. There is supporting evidence that our hands are
like carriers of information, indirectly pointing to the degree of
expression of the power of creation in their owners. Some scientists now
conclude that the lines and the signs on our hands are the surface
manifestations of genes that carry the responsibility for the
development and formation of the organs of the human body from birth
until death.
The dominant palm, carries information about what has been transmitted
from generation to generation, the heritage with which we came into this
world; the other one reflects what we have accomplished or what we are
in the process of attaining and, sometimes, what may be still lying
beyond the limits of our imagination. Our past, present, and future are
considered interconnected and, for this reason, it is always necessary
to look at both palms simultaneously.
Learn to take any information calmly and with open eyes: everything is
changing every second right in front of our eyes, and we are capable of
changing everything, with a little work upon ourselves.
Q.:
Have you written the next book?
Rachel:
“Karma
of Your Destiny,” working title, is going thorough the last phase --
proofreading. The human soul has been granted will power and the right
to choose freely. As we shape our own destinies, we influence our
collective and individual karma. The book plainly describes the complex
laws of karma.
The inspiration for this book came to me over a period of time while I
was writing book such as Create Your Own Destiny. Through the
many years in my work as a healer, I documented countless stories about
Karma and how it affects each person’s health. This book details the
real stories – not only about my patients’ specific healings from
disease, but they detail the whole body, mind, spirit healing
transformation they experienced. Because they were willing to make
life-changing, life-affirming choices and openly considered the karmic
influences in their lives, they were able to “rewrite” their karmic
destiny.
The stories I share with readers in this book are filled with optimism
and good will, and will hopefully inspire readers to participate in
co-creating their own destinies.
Q.:
Are
you having another book in mind to write?
Rachel:
Not
one, but three at least. I have desire to complete one book on the
subject which catches my attention since my childhood. The book about…
This is not a secret but I’m working on it.

Interview:
Readers of our newspaper probably recognize the
name Rachel Madorsky. She is a well-known healer, a member of the
International Society for the Study of Subtle
Energies and Energy Medicine, and
author of books: Create Your Own Destiny! Spiritual Path to Success, Your Choice! A Healer’s Vision on the Metaphysical
Truth Behind Health and Disease and Energy and Health of Man. We would like to discuss in detail her healing gift and
certainly her new book.
Rachel, when
did you realize you had a healing gift to cure people? How did you start
the healing voyage? How was it that the government in the former USSR.
did not favor people having similar abilities?
Rachel:
With a gift such
as mine, people are born, just as artists or musicians, mathematicians
or representatives of any other branch of science or art. Some learn
about it at a very young age, others in their youth or, unfortunately,
at a more mature age. I realized it when I was 5 or 6 years old when I
helped myself to get rid of wounds or pain by covering the areas with my
left palm. I am left-handed. Then in the same way, I began treating
pets. such as cats or dogs. And later, I treated people close to me who
already suspected my gift.
Early in life, I
realized I had to be very careful to guard my healing gift. My parents
warned me about creating a dangerous situation outside our house if I
decided to reveal the benefits of my gift. I saw how my mother's doctor,
a well-known physician, was misjudged. For her defense, people from our
neighborhood went house to house to collect signatures. Nevertheless, my
family understood the advantages of folk medicine alongside the
advantages of traditional treatment. In spite of their technical
background, my parents trusted folk healing.
I was formally trained in medicine and then
engineering. All my life, though, I have used the benefits of family
traditions and my own gift to help people.
What is the
mission of a healer? What could happen with a healer if he decided to
step into the healing journey?
Rachel:
A healer’s
mission is simple: to help people who happen to be involved in very
serious and desperate health situations. The healer treats not only the
body, but also is responsible for the treatment of the patient’s soul
and spirit. Not always it is clear what requires more help or where the
illness truly resides – soul or a body. It is laborious and
time-consuming work. At times, the healer and patient struggle together
against the illness.
Doctors frequently do not pay attention to the
needs of a patient’s soul, trying to treat only his body. It is easier
and faster to write a prescription from the symptoms rather than listen
to the patient. An initial conversation about an illness often is just
the beginning of the fight back to good health.
How do you
interact with those in traditional medicine? Because of their medical
training, I would expect that physicians normally do not recognize
healers.
Rachel:
Traditional
medicine has surrounded me from birth. Many friends of my family were
doctors. I grew up in this atmosphere. And I have my close friends,
doctors too, and physicians are among my patients frequently as well.
Every time I
sense a serious problem that my patient does not suspect, my first rule
is to send him to the doctor for a full examination. In most cases, they
follow my advice. If my intuitive medical consultation proves to be true
and is supported by medical examination, some of my patients do not come
back to me. They choose traditional medicine, because it is more
acceptable to them. Others choose to use both traditional and
nontraditional methods simultaneously to accelerate their recovery.
Sometimes people visit me with symptoms that
are only the tip of the iceberg. Even modern medicine with its
innovative technology does not always recognize the serious disease or
the falling energy in an organ in time. A healer has one huge advantage
– intuition – the most accurate and sensitive of all "devices."
You described in your book
Create Your Own Destiny! Spiritual Path to Success
a number of cases where you helped
patients with serious situations. Do you continue to follow their
condition and their destiny?
Rachel:
Certainly as any scientist would, I continue to
supervise, analyze and make the appropriate conclusions that then I
share in my lectures, workshops and writings. Some of my patients do not
come back. During their visits and conversations with me, they learned
how to prevent illness or how to fight back. After years of absence,
others return with another problem. Sometimes completing treatment with
me was prevented by family circumstances or career aspirations, but
illness does not disappear. It is very important to finish the course of
treatment. It is essential not to interrupt the process of therapy in
spite of anything. Otherwise illness – like a snake – will stay curled
in an organ, waiting for the right moment to sting.
Why is your
book titled Create Your Own Destiny?
Rachel:
Originally the title of book was
Self-Healing Through Self-Knowledge. When the manuscript was
completed, I realized the essence of the book was choice and destiny.
Everyone is responsible for the creation of his own destiny through
choices. Everyone has the opportunity to make the right choices. It is
his choice whether to ignore warning signs sent from above such as an
unusual pain or swelling in an area, a consultation with a physician, an
introduction to a healer, or many other things.
With such
advanced medicine and technology in the United States, why is there
still such a high incidence rate of cancer occurring?
Rachel:
It depends on a person’s lifestyle that
includes food, prescribed medicine, and the environment. Food contains
many artificial components, and we at times do not know how they
influence defensive functions of an organism. The same is true with
medicines and with the air we breathe and the water we drink.
Undoubtedly, a patient’s lifestyle complicates the work of a healer.
Sometimes mutations in an organism are so severe that only a complete
change in lifestyle will provide the right defense.
How does a
patient become reacquainted with his inner spiritual self to promote
healing? It is not possible for an atheist, for example, to become a
believer overnight.
Rachel:
Those coming for
treatment should be free from negative emotions such as envy, hatred, or
any other base human quality. Depressing ideas slow the healing process.
It may be
necessary once in a while for the patient to be alone to contemplate why
he is on earth. He should have an inner purpose to life: to finish, to
learn, to create, etc. The healer’s presence at that time during the
recovery process assists in this process. For some, it may be time to
start praying; for others, time to start making donations. A person
might decide to volunteer or to start a new business or hobby. Sometimes
changing residences has positive results.
Whether the person believes in religion or is
an atheist is not so important to recovery.
In your
opinion, what influences the destiny of a person and his health more:
karma connections, genetic information or the environment?
Rachel:
It is all indissoluble. One cause follows from
another and the vicious circle continues. Here is an example: an
ancestor in the distant past committed a crime – murder – and the
damnations by relatives of the victim reflect in the genetic code of
generations of the murderer’s descendants. Members of that family might
have grave illnesses or it could be revealed differently—sometimes as an
unhappy or an uncomfortable fate. Confirmation of this can be found in
the Torah and other sacred writings. The basis of all human life is
incorporated in the Ten Commandments, which seem very simple. But if
they were really so simple and feasible, the problems of mankind would
be much less.

Interview:
My
Mission
What motivated
you to write the book
Create Your Own Destiny!
Spiritual Path to Success?
Rachel:
My conversations with doctors and my friends
prompted me. My patients and students at my seminars frequently
encouraged me to write the book to give them material for independent
study.
Your book is a
reference to sick as well as to healthy people. Characterize in a few
words the basic idea of the book.
Rachel:
As long as the person is still alive, he always
has hope for recovery and for a change in his destiny. To be granted
that chance, it is only necessary to make a true choice. To beat an
illness requires optimism. My dream and wish is that some amount of that
optimism will be transferred to the reader.
I have read your book and I am interested why you give the big
importance to Karma?
Rachel: The theme of karma – a philosophical one –
requires a long discussion. It cannot be answered in one sentence.
Though for many people, the essence of karma is simple: "What goes
around comes around." I only touched slightly on this theme in my
chapter “The Karma Cycles.” However, I would like to encourage all to keep
your acts and ideas clean so they do not ricochet back to you or your
relatives or your descendants.
Throughout the
book, you suggest that a spiritual force helps the person in his
struggle for life and health. Can you explain?
Rachel:
We live in one of the realities of a multilevel
universe where a person with his immortal soul is surrounded from birth
with forces that carry him on the road of destiny. In extreme
situations, these spiritual instructors or guides come to aid the
person. If they express themselves, it is necessary to respect and trust
them as it was done by our ancestors.
What is your
attitude toward healers, sorcerers, shaman of whom there are a lot of
now?
Rachel:
My attitude is
the same as it is to the large amount of composers and artists. There
are geniuses, there are talented individuals, and there are people
trained to be skilled. All are necessary. Everyone finds the student,
the spectator and the admirer.
Healers come to this world with a mission to
treat people. Not many and not all healers can accept all patients
because of limitations in their abilities and health. Therefore it is
good when a person can use his knowledge to help people. My blessing to
this person. People should choose their healer carefully. Trust your own
intuition, not impulses!
